This February, Grump's Quest will be launching on Kickstarter, and is looking to introduce a higher level of animation than previously seen in a mobile, iOS or Android platform.
Created and developed by London-based animation and VFX company Rockkiss Digital Media Entertainment, the creative engineering behind Grump's Quest seeks to incorporate pre-rendered animation with highly detailed character and environment models.
"The game will heavily feature cinematic sequences as yet not really seen for this format," director William Rockall tells us.
To create the visuals, a combination of Zbrush, Softimage and Modo is employed, along with further processing in Maya. "So even aside all the coding of the game itself, we’ll have quite a lot to show," William explains. As you can see from the screenshots below, it's looking pretty impressive so far.
