Sometimes, it's better to improvise a piece and let it become it's own thing.
Quite often, playing around with ideas and experimenting with new techniques can lead to eye-catching and personal artwork, as reader Leigh Sparks found with her piece With Everything You Have.
The piece was born from the idea of putting everything you have into achieving a goal, and was originally intended to be an image just to play around with. As the piece developed, it took a life of it's own and turned into the image we see here before us.
It seems like the freedom to play around with visual effects was a very liberating process for Leigh, and the final image is packed with interesting flourishes and texture elements.
