Hope comes in many shapes and forms – and this little one is due a feed!
Even the toughest warriors have a soft side, which is why we've chosen Hope by Mariana Vieira as our Image of the Day.
It's not all too often we see fantasy art dabbling in paternal matters, and it makes a wonderful change. This is a really tender image, with the baby serving as both a narrative device and a means of adding extra emotional resonance into the piece. Mariana's created an interesting style here too, making great use of texture and selective contrast.
