Perhaps it's because Valentines Day is approaching, we've gone for something a little softer for today's pick of the gallery.
Admit it – who doesn't really like the colour punk? Well, we're not afraid to confess our love for all things rosy, and so we've chosen the marvelous Pinky by reader Heather Cullymore as our Image of the Day.
Even without the choice of colour palette, the softness of this piece is exquisite, and there's a wonderful balance between detail and suggestion. We also like the way that the character's expression is quite ambiguous – there's a definite sternness, but you can't help but also notice a subtle sense of warmth too.
