Today's Image of the Day is the charming Day and Night by reader Eric Proctor.

We like how unashamedly feminine this piece is – princesses, butterflies and flowers AND unicorn crowns! What more could you want?

Pretty things aside, this is a sweet and well-considered character piece – the costumes and jewellery have been well designed without being too fussy, and the piece is balanced smoothly without falling flat. Great work Eric!
